Program Partners Meeting

Join the Burnham Plan Centennial Committee for a special meeting that will provide program partners ample opportunity for networking, a sneak preview of our enhanced website, an overview of our communications plan and information about how partners can become an integral part of the region’s next Bold Plan: “GO TO 2040.” 

Plan to stay after the meeting if you can for a guided tour Michigan Avenue’s newest building – the renowned Spertus Institute for Jewish Studies.

Burnham Brown Bag Lunches

The Burnham Brown Bag lunches are designed to help inform and connect Burnham Plan Centennial partners and advance program planning. Each lunch will feature one or two brief “idea generator” presentations about a project under development, opportunities to discuss potential ties and collaborations, time for exchange of other ideas, and small group or one-on-one networking. Bring your own brown bag (beverages provided) and join us from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. at AIA Chicago, 35 E. Wacker Drive – Suite 250.

Opportunities for Community Involvement: Idea generators: Chicago Wilderness (No Child Left Inside) and Greater Auburn-Gresham Development Corporation (Litter Free Zone).

Opportunities for Youth and After School Programs: Idea generators: The Chicago Park District and the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana.

Opportunities for Symposia and Speakers: Partners will share plans underway for symposia related to both the history and future-oriented themes of the Burnham Plan Centennial, in order to anticipate how to best coordinate efforts.

Opportunities for Bold Plans, Big Dreams Community Tours: Partners will convene to gage interest in and brainstorm possibilities for a proposed neighborhood and community-based tour initiative.
