The Mines and Mining Building was designed by S.
S. Beman. The building contained exhibits relating to mines,
mining, and metallurgy. The exhibits included African Zulus washing
diamonds and a golden castle from Chapultepec, Mexico. There
was even one display from outer space, a one thousand and fifteen
pound meteorite.
