Replica of the Santa Maria « previous 8 of 9 next »

This photo shows a replica of the Santa Maria, one of three boats Christopher Columbus used on his voyage from Spain to Cuba in 1492. The replica contained numerous relics of that voyage, including a table and inkstand used by Columbus, nautical instruments of the day, and a flag presented by Ferdinand and Isabella, the Spanish King and Queen who financed Columbus's exposition to America.
