The Victoria Building was named for Queen Victoria, the Queen of England. The building was not popular and had a reputation for being too exclusive. The public visiting hours were short and many who entered felt unwelcome. There was a fine library on the first floor next to an elegantly decorated room. The furniture in the room was for sale.
