Commentary:
This has to be the greatest piece of neighborhood advertising
art on the South Side. The smiling cow, with bowler hat, tie and
a jauntily uplifted hoof moos "hello" to patrons as
he suggests good things to eat. No matter that the roast and sausage
may come from his own kin.
Like most of its kind, this effective piece is by an unknown
artist who just dropped by offering his services.
