This photo shows workers putting the finishing touches on a pediment. A pediment is the triangular piece that fits below a roof in the front or back of a building. This pediment is decorated with animals and a male and female figure. The pediment was created at ground level and then lifted up and put onto the building. Many buildings are created in pieces and then assembled on site.
