The Electricity Building was one of the most popular
attractions at the fair. Electricity was still
a novelty for people in 1893.
At night, the inside of the building was lit up much brighter
than the other buildings in
the fair. There was music playing from phonographs, motion picture
viewing stations, and
a model house filled with
electric appliances.
