The Fisheries Building was designed by Henry Ives
Cobb, of Chicago. It was a very popular attraction at the fair
because of several massive, illuminated aquariums that housed
a splendid array of exotic sea creatures. Salt water was brought
in from the Atlantic Ocean, and all sorts of sea life, from king
crabs to sharks, swam about the tanks.
