This photo shows some visitors gathered on the
steps of the Woman's Building. The building contained exhibits
displaying
the work of women. One could find various arts and crafts along
with exhibits based on the philanthropic work of such women as
Florence Nightingale. Florence Nightingale is most remembered
as a pioneer
of nursing and a reformer of hospital sanitation methods in the
1800s.
