This photo shows a gathering to celebrate the dedication of
the
Ho-o-den. Standing in a line in front of the Ho-o-den are the
workers that created the replica
of the temple. There was also
a large Japanese style garden on the Wooded Island. Today there
are Japanese Gardens on the site of the Ho-o-den in Jackson Park
because the Emperor of Japan promised to provide permanent maintenance
for the site.
