The Woman's Building was designed by Sophia Hayden, of Boston. She studied architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). This was the largest exhibit devoted to women in the history of World's Fairs. It demonstrated a growing trend in recognizing the rights and accomplishments of women. Remember, it would not be till 1920 that women had the right to vote in the United States.
