Step 1: Pick a Topic

Think about what you want to study or learn about. Your choice of topic should be something that interests you. All of your teachers are resources who can help you with picking a topic, not just your science teacher.

There are four steps to picking a topic:

1A. Find an area that interests you
1B. Categorize your topic
1C. Investigate your topic
1D. Narrow your topic

Tip: Make sure to download the worksheets for each step.  Some of the worksheets are for your own use, but other documents must be submitted to the science fair so your project can be accepted.

Budget Your Time

Science Fair projects can take up to three months, make sure your work pays off by taking a few minutes to schedule your time and write down deadlines you have to meet
