Commentary:
This fine statue of Abraham Lincoln delivering the Gettysburg
address is a replica of the original in Pana, Illinois. It stands
over the "Soldiers' Home Lot" at the Oak Woods Cemetery
which contains 70 burials of Chicago Civil War veterans.
The Oak Woods Cemetery is a wonderful place to study Chicago's
history--a good locale for a walk or a field trip.
