The Pullman Palace Car Company of Chicago exhibited
trains made up of many types of train cars for different purposes,
such as sleeping, dining, lounging, and storage. The car shown
in this photo was for dining. It was finished with the finest
vermilion wood imported from Central America, with windows of
stained glass, elaborately carved seats, and a small but very
efficient kitchen.
