The Wah Mee Exposition Company was a group of Chinese
performers organized by
Sling, a Chinese man from Ogden, Utah. The company featured a
large group of male actors performing God in Heaven. At the time,
Chinese women were not allowed to perform on stage, therefore
all of the roles, even the female roles, were played by men.
The Chinese Theatre was not very popular and went bankrupt well
before the end of the fair.
