When you carry out your experiment, you are testing your hypothesis. Follow your procedure step-by-step and document your steps along the way. Testing your hypothesis may take days or weeks, depending on the type of experiment you have designed. Try to get as many data samples as you can by repeating your experiment. This is called a trial.
Tip: You might run into things you didn’t expect or think of when you designed your experiment that are now giving you problems. Don’t wait to start your experiment during holiday breaks because you will need to be able to ask your science teacher for help while you do your experiment.
