Commissioned
by: Amalgamated Meatcutters and Butchers Union
Location:

Medium:
Mural
Commentary:
This early and exceptionally fine work by William Walker, the
dean of the Chicago mural art movement, depicts the confrontation
of workers and bosses during union organizing. The very stark
figures and strong moral tone is much in the tradition of Diego
Rivera, the great Mexican muralist from whom all muralists have
learned.
