People have looked to the sun and stars to help them find their way.

Inuit:  The Inuit culture relied on the sun and the stars to help them navigate their way to and from home on water and land. more »

Oceania:  The Wayfinders of Oceania rely on the constellations to guide them. more »

Portugal:  The Portuguese turned to the starts to help guide them when they are on the water and landmarks are not available. more »

Viking:  The Vikings were accomplished seafarers. Navigation was handled by specially trained personnel who mostly navigated by the stars and the sun. more »
